Jack Rose with Michael Chapman: Just announced: Jack Rose will be teaming up with acclaimed U.K. singer/songwriter Michael Chapman for a U.S. tour in October. This is a rare stateside appearance for Chapman, a recording artist with the Harvest label through the 1960's and 70's, and we're extremely happy to have him pair with Jack Rose for these dates. Phantom Orchard select performances: Phantom Orchard, the duo of harpist Zeena Parkins and percussionist/electronic musician Ikue Mori, has just had a second album Orra released on Tzadik, and is looking ahead to selected special live appearances beginning late this year and continuing into 2009. These performances will definitely be something not to be missed; opportunities to see this exciting kinetic duo in a live setting are very scarce.
